TL;DR
We're looking for our first chef to feed the team building Spiich. You'll own the kitchen, plan menus, cook daily meals, and create a food culture that fuels focused work. Must care about quality ingredients, efficient execution, and feeding people well - not impressing food critics.
Why join
Small team of engineers building from Stockholm. We spend long hours solving hard problems - and are hungry not only for fixing sales, but also good food.
You'll define everything from scratch: menus, sourcing, kitchen setup, how we eat together. Not a corporate catering gig. You'll cook for people you know, see them eat what you make, and adjust based on what works.
What you'll do (responsibilities)
In one sentence: Own food and team success end-to-end.
- Execute relentlessly: Cook 20 dishes daily, find vendors, close meals
- Build the playbook: Define our entire nutrition process - prospecting ingredients, demo foods, allergies handling, dinner strategies
- Close meals: Full-cycle cook from first ingredient bought to cleaning up after dinner (€10k-500k GIV, Gross Ingredient Value)
- Drive eater success: Personally feed first 10+ team members, ensure plate clearance, proactively reach out to low-appetite users
- Feed technical eaters: Pitch dishes to engineers, founders, and diet-savvy teams who understand macros and meal timing
- Obsess over outcomes: Measure success by calories delivered, not just meals plated
You'll be the voice of the hungry internally and shape the menu roadmap with real feedback from the table.
Who you are
- Proven closer with 2-3 years kitchen experience (consistently exceeded portion quota)
- Execution-oriented: you get shit done, no excuses
- Comfortable grinding: cooking, pesky eaters, doing dishes - you thrive on it
- Process builder: will document what works and create repeatable systems
- Fully committed to the mission: not "just a job"
